Does anybod have any info on Thomas Edmondson born abt 1645 died 1715 in Essex CO VA Iv'e been told he was a member of the House of Burgessess from Essex County, VA 1693-1700, member of the Justice, 1702, Sheriff 1703. Can any confirm this .

Since this is only the inventory, the will itself should have been filed earlier. Look back through the abstracts or the documents themselves for the filing of the will.

Hello all I am new to the group and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there would be more to a document like the one quoted below and where I could find the full text if it is indeed possible.
Virginia Colonial Abstracts, Vol III, York County, 1646-1648:

Page 185. Inventory of est of Wm. Stafford late deceased, being at Cheeskiacke in the possession of John Cleverius. Taken 3rd March 1644/5. Includes 8 negroes. 2 Bibles valued at 60 lb tobo. Total valuation of estate 30681 lb tobo. Signed Fr. Morgan, Row Burnham. Jurant Coram Hugh Gwin.

I am researching my Stafford line.

Hello all,
My ancestors are Malcolms from Highland Cty/Augusta Cty,Va. I can trace back to Joseph Malcolm b. mid1700's-d.1822. I'm especially interested in information on George Malcolm who fought in the French and Indian War. He was in the Virginia Militia.

Looking for some help. Does anyone have access to the Jones Memorial Library in Lynchburg, VA. I am looking for a death record of George Alexander Poythress, b. May 1849, he died after 1900. I just want to know is there a record and if so what is the reference so I can make a request from the library.

Debbie, I don't find a James or John Barnett, but as you can see in the notes following this sentence, I have no clue who Jesse's parents or siblings are. In the census records, it shows Jesse R. Barnett place of birth as Virginia. He was born in possibly early 1800's. His wife is listed as Docia. The only other information I have found for Jesse R. Barnett is that he died in 1847 in Buchanan County Missouri. I cannot locate a death record, burial place or any other information. He had four children that I have found in the census records. Basha 1827, VA, Zachia 1829, NC, Hanna 1831, MO and my 2nd great grandfather Jesse born in 1838 in MO and he was married Lillie Pritchett. I am looking for information for Jesse R. and who his parents and/or siblings may have been. Any help making a connection would be greatly appreciated!

I have a James Barnett from Virginia. He married Martha Mills.His parents were John Barnett and Rebecca Holcombe. Does he fit into your tree? If nor in your direct line but indirectly.

I am still searching for anyone who might have information regarding Barnett or Barnet family from Virginia. Jesse R Barnett is my 3rd great grandfather and I know nothing about him or his parents or siblings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
