Per my dad many years ago, 7 to 9 Walker brothers came to America from Wales. However, I can't find the connection. I'm looking for the father of James Walker, Sr. b. 5/5/1752 in VA; d.1817 in Madison Co. AL. He married Margaret (Peggy) Reed b. 1757 in VA; d. 1831 in Limestone Co. AL I am in Group 5 of Family Tree DNA test results. Any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty new at this and am using other relatives' info.

Do you know which Walkers were in Wales?

No, I don't know which Walkers were in Wales? I found a site this summer that talked about brothers coming from Wales and listed them but can't seem to find the site again, but I think I can find it. The info I'm finding now keeps putting our James Walker Sr. as part of the "Wigton Walkers" of Scotland. If that's true, I think James' father must have been William, son of John & Katherine (Rutherford) Walker. There are 12 other Walkers in FTDNA Group 5, and I've just emailed one so far. Hopefully some of them can help me figure out who James' father was. Any suggestions?
