I apologize for dropping off the face of the earth last summer, Susanna. I appreciated your help.
I've recently (finally!) found out where my Weber ancestors came from & when -- William (b.1845) and Elisabeth Weber arrived in New York harbor in April 1884 on the Red Star line ship Westernland. They were with the 7 children they had at the time: Nicholas (b.1866), Johanna (b.1868), Elisabeth (b.1870), Christopher (b.1872), Matthew (b.1874), Jacob (b.1876) and Anna (b.1880).
The family was from Binsfeld, Rheinland, Preußen, Germany. (I also found William's naturalization record from 1907 in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.)
