Hello Everyone,
My research brings me to Lawrence and Mercer Counties, PA. I will start with my Lawrence County Ancestors.
James Clark Magee b.Aug 3 1852, New Castle, Lawrence PA, d. May 9, 1917, Middlefield, Geauga County, Ohio. His Father J C Magee and Mother Lydia Rigby according to his death certificate. His father was a Irish Immigrant and his mother born in New Castle, PA. He married Martha Jane Hall in 1872, she was b. Feb 28 1851, Camp Run, Beaver County, PA and d. Nov 5 1917, Middlefield, Geauga County Ohio. Martha's parents were James Marshall Hall and Dianna Sipe/Seip.
James Clark Magee, had two brothers that I have been able to locate, Seth Magee and John C Magee, all of Lawrence Counties. I have tried to work these cross lines with no success, I do not believe they are connected to the Magee Family that was documented by Robert Ashley Stevenson, and have been unable to locate them prior to 1880, but that is not 100% verified.
I am looking for resources, I have hit a brick wall, and am desperately seeking sources prior to 1880 for Lawrence County.
