Cornelius Wilson, 1823 - 1856

My 3rd great-grandfather was Cornelius WILSON, born about 1823 in either Kentucky, Ohio or Canada (depending upon the source you happen to be looking at!). He lived most of his short life in Tazewell and McLean Counties, in Illinois.

Cornelius married Jane BOYD in McLean County, IL in 1841. They had 7 children: Mary E. (who married John SULLIVAN), Charles Alexander (my line), Jane (who apparently died as a child), Caroline, William E., Emma A. (who married Mark Asbury SHORT), and Franklin.

Cornelius is buried in Hardscrabble Cemetery, in Tazewell County, Illinois. If anyone has any information about his parents or siblings, I would very much like to compare notes!
