I'm researching the family of Joseph Wood, born around 1850 in Derby, England then moved to Leicester, England. I'd love to hear from anyone who thinks they might have connections to my Wood.

Hi, I have a lot of information on my Wood Family.. They originated from Frederick Co, MD and St. Georges Co, MD and St. Mary's Co MD, some of the family moved to NC, then into KY, then up to Greene Co, ILL, and on into Clark, Knox, and Scotland Co MO. I have photo's of some of the Wood Family going back as far as early 1900's. Will share with those who are a part of this Wood Family.

Looking for information on William Riley Wood who married Ellen Cannady. One of their sons was Charley Oakley Wood. Living in Perry, Oklahoma. William Riley Wood's parents died in a fire and he lived in an orphanage. Other family members,

Any information on Franklin Frazer Wood who was born March 28, 1810 in LaGrange, Troup Co.,Georgia or Tallapoosa, Alabama. He died in Gonzales, Gonzales Co., Texas on July 16, 1875. He married Sarah Ann Wilson December 29, 1833 in Troup Co., Ga. She was b. June 2, 1816 in LaGrange, Troup Co., Ga. or Montcillo, Japer, Ga. d. January 3, 1900 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the dtr. of Rev. Benjamin Hazeltine Wilson and Susannah Cameron.

To Leah, regarding the Woods in Scotland, then moved to Michigan

My name is Kay Wood - Brown, daughter of Barry Wood, granddaughter of Stanley Wood, great-granddaughter of George Henry Wood, who was born in Gores Landing, Ontario, Canada and whose father was Richard Wood, who was born in England or Scotland and died in Ontario, Canada. Richard was also the father of John and Albert Wood. Albert was possibly born in Scotland or Ontario, Canada, that's a gray area. When the Wood family settled in Michigan, it was in the Isabella and Montcalm county areas, but my Uncle Bill (Floris William Wood) is the genealogist in the family and knows much of that information. You can access the information on the research he's done tracks our family history to even before the year 125 A.D., though he tells me that information isn't guaranteed 100% correct.

I am wondering if or how many of you all are from the Wood family that was in Columbus, Ohio in the mid 1800s. So far, I don't know where they got there from, but my Mother's grandmother was a Wood (married a Smith), and the ggrandmother's mother was a Patrick. Make any sense to anyone???
