Marie Lloyd music hall queen (alias Matilda Alice Victoria Wood)

Matilda Alice Victoria Wood was born in 1870 Hoxton to parents John Wood and Matilda Mary Caroline Archer who married in 1851. This link gives an account of her career.

Her father John was an artificial florist born c1850 in Bethnal Green according to 1881 and 1891 census. I have been unable to find him on 1871 census or previously and would be very interested to hear if anyone has managed to find out any further details regarding Marie Lloyds ancestry
