Wood Family of Limehouse, London

I'm keen to find the origins of Frederick Wood a lighterman (although no apprenticeship record exists) who was born about 1805. He married Matilda Mitchell in 1830 Limehouse and drowned in 1854 Regents Canal Basin.

Frederick and Matilda had children Louisa (married Samuel Slatter), Mary Ann Amelia, Frederick (married Julia Griffiths), Matilda, Elizabeth Ann (married John Sinfield), Joseph, George (married Sarah), Eliza and John. Some of this family emigrated to Kansas USA in 1872.

Frederick Wood junior married Julia Griffiths in 1858 Stepney and had children Frederick (married Ann), Sydney (married Catherine or Caroline), Alfred (married Eliza Flewers) and Anna
