An example of Tocharian B script from the 6-8th century, AD. The word "yutko" in Tocharian means roughly "has provided". As a surname, I theorize that Yutko might mean "One who provided".

Welcome to this new discussion group! I have been researching my Yutko ancestors who immigrated from the Austrian-Hungarian empire in the 1870's and settled in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There are quite a number of Yutko's throughout the U.S. now, but it's not clear if we are related and if so, how. I hope that this group will be a forum for meeting other people interested in researching this family and sharing ideas.
