    Hi, Anita. What Blanton line are you researching? I'm from the John Blanton who died in Red River Co, TX in 1840.

    Our Blantons were in Arkansas for a few years before coming to TX in 1836. Before AR, they were in Walker Co., AL. We cannot prove where our John Blanton was before that, but we believe he was in TN, as several of his sons claimed to have been born there.
