Sarah Earthenhouse married Abram Corman, my 3rd great grandfather. My Cormans are in and around Jessamine and Fayette Counties. Have you joined the Jessamine County group?

Jodi...are you on Facebook? Look me up. There are some family pics on there and I would love to see any you have.

Hi, Jodi, since you offered to look up in the Indiana Pioneers book, can you tell me if there are any CRIPE families listed? These would be in Elkhart Co, and surrounding counties also. I know Daniel Cripe moved to Elkhart with his family in 1829; there may be other Cripe families also. I am doing an extensive search of all CRIPE families in the USA. Thanks much. Diana (my grandmother was a CRIPE)

Thanks, Jodi for that lookup. Yes, I have Bowmans, though I haven't done TOO MUCH work on that line, other than the direct line back to George Bowman then thru his wife, who was daughter of Jost Hite, a famous pioneer in the Shenandoah Valley of VA. My quick glance shows that I don't know which county in Indiana Philip Bowman came to, however his daughter Isabella Bowman ended up married to John Sedam in Cass County, IN. I can give you that data if you wish. THANKS MUCH! Diana

I have information on Mary Devlin Gervin, she is the sister of my gggfather. His name is on her death certificate as an informant, he stayed with her in her last days. You will find his name in the 1900 census living with her and David. Do you have any pictures of her? I have visited the Devlin ancestral home in Drumhubbart Northern Ireland. Rick Devlin

    Hi Jodi

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've been off line for some time, I've been rather ill and only just now getting back on line. I'll be happy to some checking for you and will post back with what I might be able to find.

do you have a Hagaman married to your De witt

Mary Devlin came over from Ireland with her husband in the 1850's, but you probably already know that. Is your mother-in-law a Gervin? Send me your email address and I will send you an invitation to view my Ancestry.com family history which will give you a little info on Mary's brothers and the name of her father and mother. Her father and mother are on her death cert. and that info was provided by my gggfather, John Devlin. Research in Ireland finds them and another son James but professional that we hired have not been able to find any kind of dates for their biths or deaths. My cousin, in Ireland, researchers in that part of Ireland say that the local priest was a very poor record keeper. Also records during the potato famine were poor anyway.
