OOPs sorry about that. I thought I was checking but must of over looked. I am very much interested in the Couch line. My Couch married into the Jahner line. But my mistake, yes I will delete that Couch and enter into your couch if that is ok.
It seems that my Westcott's are descended from Stukely who according to what I have seen online emigrated to America from Somersetshire, England in the 1600's.
By the way I lived in Cambrigeshire from 1980 to 1982, I sure miss it, but I imagine it has changed a lot since then.
One of my main names is SMART. my closest relatives are in Liverpool but they where originally from Angus, Scotland. I have them back till c1580 and Gilbert Smart. Are yours from North or South?
My comrad Vic the Vicar is hanging out at Cambridge this week....hope he does not bring back the UK flu!!
Would the idea be to "attract" Crewe surname cousins?? If so, a good idea! But, I don't know the process for setting up a site. I sent a note to a man involved in the Cheshire Historical Society---to ask for assistance in contacting some living Crewe persons---particularly males!
I had two female Crewses from this site send me a friend invite, but no reply back from them?! One is in Canton, Georgia, just south of Blue Ridge---where I work with the hospice. The other---not sure where she lives. I thought that we might compare our family lines.
Still looking for John's (1725) daddy! I wonder if my Crewe person came directly into the Charleston, SC, port? I am amazed at what has happened in two years--since I made my initial journey to Cruwys Morchard.
I have friends in Shropshire now---a base for looking around the Cheshire area for Crewe cousins!!
Hi Debbie, I am now set up in genealogywise. Incidentally, my Belcher and Taylor great grandparents on my mother's mother's side are from Berkshire (I know the Belchers are from Goosey). Does the Devon group include Berkshire? I'm sorry but I know little of England. Best wishes, Vance
I am trying to find the link to my last name Allison, a decendant of Robson Cruse. His bible and some other items have been handed down to me. I have just discovered this site. Might you have anything on his childrens children?
Hi Debbie,
I am a new member...and am interested in my Irish roots...the families of Daly and Fitzgerald..and my English family name.. Duke.. (medieval spelling le Duc)...this looks like a great site you have here! all the best Anthony.
I can't test for Pigg DNA as it was my father's line, although I have living male cousins who could test. I am going to ask one to test, because so far I can't prove my Pigg line in America. I was hoping we could learn something about Pigg from those in England and world wide. I used to email a Pigg descendant in Australia.
I have another line that came to Colonial America from Devon, and that family may have descendants there. I saw your interest in Devon DNA. I have not yet tested. Perhaps you could give me pointers, in choosing a group for MtDNA, and how far I really need to go back. I have a son to test in the Taylor group. Many of my lines appear to descend from English families.
Thank you for making your comments.

Hello
when I signed up on the GW I listed on the Advanced Researcher. I think I was wrong. In 1990 I had a brain tumor removed follow by a stroke. Before that I could of signed up "Advanced" but I am still working my way back there! I am really enjoying the Genealogy Wise and all the groups it has to offer. I have been Deaf most of my life and joining anything with genealogy is still pretty much impossible with us. This has open many doors and I think you all. Thank you Debbie K. for your note for me. What is a gift?? suz
