Is there a way to put group notifications in digest form? Another question is there a way to put an edit button where you write your comments(to clean up spelling errors etc.) Thanks!

    Hey Pam.....
See what you went and did. Now I'll never get any housework done. lol Don't forget to join my Washington County, Ohio Group on here. I just uploaded my lastest transcribed rtf file of the Depositions taken from people involved from Wood County, (West) Virginia and Harmar, Ohio in the 1851 Henderson - vs- Putnam Fugitive Slave Case with the notes about it from Henry Burke.

Pamela, I too have Bennett relatives in WV, you can see those Bennett's in my tree at [ http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pitzer/RootsWebsitePedigreeChart/Names13.html#BENNETT ]

If you find we have some common names I am happy to share information.

Pam... You don't have to be a member to access the Marietta, Ohio MySpace :)
  • Jim Avery

Do your Drakes tie in at all with the Wolford family?
  • Jim Avery

HiPam - you must be a night owl too. I am going on memory here. Just seems that there was a Drake connection to Wolford in the midwest. This is a busy week for me but will go through old correespondence and see if I have anything. This may be a great place to revive old letters. By old I mean in this case 1970's before the Internet. I don't have a Drake connect personally. But do one name Wolford research. Jim Avery

Thanks very much for the friend invite, Pamela--and for the reminder about rootsweb. I look forward to many Drake discussions in both places.

How do I access the Drake and Bowie pages?
  • Dianne Welch

Yeah Pam We are related, my grandfather was Peter Saurborn, my mother was a Saurborn, we have talked before. I'm searching for Asaph Colegate and his daughter Nancy in Huntingdon county, pa. She was born there in 1790, but the census doesn't give names in 1800 0r 1810. Trying to find her. They came to what is Marion County in 1819 and she died in1860. Can't find a death certificate on her. She Married William R. Welsh from same place in Pa. My husbands grandfather. Dianne Welch

  • Therese Hinkle Jones

Most of my life I was told that "our" Hinkle line was descended down form
Anthony Henckel and I am attempting to connect my known lineage back to ancestors before 1839. This was the birthdate of my GGGF James Samuel Hinkle. James married Eliza Walker b. 1841 in Knox County Indianna. James was reared in Jefferson County KY. In 1931 my GF moved to Maryland. Where the Hinkles stayed until about 1985. There remain one Nephew that resides in Baltimore and his name is James Patrick Hinkle. I know of no other Hinkles in Maryland
  • Raymond Drake
