I don't know enough about the Rodgers/Rogers to know if it is or not...that is why I started the gorup. My hope was that others who have Texas Rogers would join and maybe I would stumble upon my Rogers. All I really know is here:
*Dorah Angelina Rodgers, b: July 1844 Alabama, d:Hardin Co.,TX; m: Jan 31, 1861, Woodville, Tyler Co., Tx, Divorced: April 7, 1896 Hardin Co.TX, is the d/o Joseph & Elizabeth Rodgers/Rogers. They first appear in the 1860 Hardin Census as "Rodgers" and then in the 1870 Census as "Rogers". Joseph is thought to have been born 1811. There has been a suggestion that Joseph's father was Hugh Rodgers of Flint River, Madison Co, MS, who is listed in the 1810 Territorial Census.
In the 1860 Census their birth place is listed as Unknown. In the 1870 census, he states he is from NC and she (Elizabeth) states she is from SC.. Truth is...I don't know.
Wanda,
I forgot to add that I've had an ongoing email discussion with Sorenson about this subject. Their answer indicates that I should go to GeneTree to get my brother's DNA profile. Very confusing. I'd be happy to pass on this correspondence if you would like.I can email it to you. Maybe there is an explanation in there that will help you? I, however, am still baffled.

Wanda, If you want to give me your email address I will forward my conversations with Sorenson. I really don't want to post it here.
