We have never been able to find any documents which give the name of our John's wife. I've researched this line for over 15 years. There is a lot of misinformation out there about him, mostly that he was married to Elizabeth Wiseman. We have proven that this was not our John. We have followed every John Blanton that was born around the time that he was born (1760-1761), but it's just not possible to figure out which John he was without further documents. If you will go to my page, there is a link to my website which has what we know of John's line. I'd be glad to look at any info that you have. Thanks!!

This site is very neat. It has been some time since I have even thought about the family research. It is great that we connected so quickly. Adrah my great-great grandmother married James Parker. They moved to TX from TN. They were not married in the 1850 census, I have not been able to find them in 1860 and by 1870 James has died in the Civil War and there are four children. Two girls and two boys. The oldest was a boy and then a girl, name is not coming to me at this time, but she is my great grandmother. She married Lucius Loring and they had three children. My grandmother, Susie, (Elizabeth) was about a year old when he died. None of these three women remarried. My grandmother married Felix Roberts Hall. They had two children. Robert Loring Hall and my mother, Mary Sue Hall born Nov 9 1916 and died Jan 5, 2001. Her father died when she was about 10. My grandmother did not remarry either. Adrah lived to be in her 90's. She died in ARK. When I learned of the Messer connection, I connected with Brenda Messer, a cousin in law. I went to KY a few years when there was a marker put at the burial site of Adrah's brother. Look forward to sharing information.

IHi Anita, I think we have exchanged information before on the Grindstaff boards. I am descended from 1 of the many Isaac Grindstaffs that ended up in Missouri.
