Yes ... I do live in Charleston. I am in Kanawha City. I live very close to the place where you Matthew last lived on Davis Creek. The Davis Creek area is where several of my lines come from. Matthew's father was one of the early pioneers there. It is close to the entrance of Kanawaha State Forest. My great-grandmother Mary Mooney Sloan lived to be 104. She too was from Davis Creek and I am sure she knew your g-grandfather Matthew as a girl since she was born in 1893 and lived in the same area. She died in 1997. I have many of her pictures. I have a picture of Matthew's mother Susannah Hanks Mooney and brother Alexander if you are interested. Do you know about Fred Mooney?? I am sure you know about the Abe Lincoln connection? We are also related to actor Tom Hanks and Vice President Al Gore. Where was the reunion in Charleston?? Next time you come into the area you should visit Davis Creek .... where it all started.

Time got away from me. My intent was to talk with one of the older Mooneys before emailing you back but I have been so busy I haven't made it out there yet. His father was Matthew's nephew. He knows a lot. I not only have been to Cabin Creek .... my mother & father live there and I am there all the time. I have also been to the Davis Creek area where the Mooney's lived many times...there is a Mooney Drive there. I wanted the older Mooney's help with pinpointing exactly where they lived. I wanted you to know I haven't forgot about you ...just been really busy. I will be in touch.
