I haven't found when they came to this country. There are 2 differsnt lines of Mooney.The one with John Mooney who married Sarah Stoneman is different then one that came out of Maryland.

From what Ive found you have to becareful. One is John S. the other is John L.
John L. is the father of Mathew,Lewis etc. John L.'s father would have been John S. From speaking to other relatives this is what we have determined.
It can be confusing. John L. and Susannah Hanks were married April 10th 1830
