My gr-grandfather Theophilus LaLonde was born in Ogdensburg, NY in 1837 to Louis and Mary (Marie?). His siblings were Antonio, John, Maria and Josephine. We only have oral tradition and I am trying to establish some history and paper trail. Any help would be appreciated. 

I am on a committee for the Trombley House located in Bay City MI. It was owned by Mader and Joseph Trombley and is the oldest wood frame structure in Bay City. Their Uncle Leon Trombley was the first settled and his daughter, Ann, married Job Trombley, a fourth or fifth cousin. I have over 500 people who are connected to this family and trace their ancestors to Pierre Tremble'. Not all came at the same time and are descendant of other branches.

I saw a reference to Michigan Habitant Heritage Trombley article and several issues have pages with these relatives included. I would like to connect with you to see if the articles are available somewhere I could see them and if you have any additional information to the update you gave to Kay Vandeberg dated 24 Jun 1976. She passes this on to her grand niece. Of course, the spelling is a bit iffy. But we also have a couple of branches that do not connect back yet.

I am new to the group. I have read the Tremblay genealogy in the issues of Michigan's Habitant Heritage up through 1988. Is there a source where I could get copies of the pages that mention the Tremblays in the French Canadian and Acadian Genealogical Review in the 1960s - 1981?

Thanks for replying back.  I have been working on this since I first saw the Tremblay genealogy listed in the Michigan periodical "Habitant Heritage" but I only could find the first issue where you recorded your line.  Everything else I have been getting through the auspices of the American-French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket, RI.  They have a good library with many reference material as well as access for Ancestry and the PRDH.  Also, I downloaded your Tremblay line from this site and tried to follow it but the line gets progressively  huge with each generation.  I will look at it again so I can send you any information which you require.  You can also fax me the tree back if you like and make any comments and I will respond back to you.  My fax/phone is 401-568-8245.

Thank you for adding the link on the Native American vital records on the Mayflower Families site. I found Neg, a servant to Madam Thacher, who married Betty Cunnit.  I've been trying to find the ancestors of my great-grandfather Alexander M. Thatcher, who said nothing about his background, for years.  I'll have to research this couple and see what I find.
