My great-grandmother was Bertha Hall b.1873 in Norway. Her parents were John and Ellen Hall. The family migrated to Waseca County, MN between 1880 and 1882. I was told that this is a very large family, and not all family members took the Hall name (some may be Johnson or Sickle) but I have not found any evidence to support that. Other family names associated with this family are Bagne, Storlie, and possibly Paulson (Paulsdatter). I am hoping to find someone else who is researching this family.
Greeting fellow Hall branches and limbs :) My dear mother was a (Frances) Hall b. Laurel Mt. 1929 her father Dr. Earl C Hall. b. 1889 in Minnesota then moved to Idaho and finally to Montana his father was Charles W. Hall b. 1851 in Menard Co. Illinois then to Minnesota ending in Idaho - his father was James P Hall b. 1818 in Lawrence Co. Ohio and stayed in Ohio all his life as far as I know.
Would love to connect with any distant cousins out there

I am currently taking my first GenealogicalStudies.com course in social media for genealogists, and I'm not a social media type of person. So this whole thing has been new to me. Me joining this Hall discussion group is as a result of an assignment for the course. On the other hand, I am a member of a Hall family that I have followed back from Indiana to Kentucky and on to Virginia. So this is a potentially valuable activity for me. I'm not sure as to what to do at this point, but I've joined Genealogy Wise and I've joined the Hall discussion group! I will sincerely make an honest effort not to waste anyone's time. I'm a retired history teacher, and a genealogist for about 7 years.
I have begun a blog on Hall research in middle Tennessee and reaching out to Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina and Georgia. Please go to http://hallfamilygenealogy.blogspot.com/ I want to use this to collaborate and share information with other researchers. Rick Allen
I am looking for information about Gus Hall (Feb 2 1875- May 3 1939). He lived in Royston Ga and that is where he is buried. I am trying to find anything about who his parents were. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for information on the parents of Richard Hall born in 1791 or 1792. It is assumed Richard was born in then Sussex County NJ. He married Hester or Ester Huntsman and lived in Independence NJ. He had several children, one of which is my great grandfather Samuel Hall who married Mary Jane Smith. According to the census Richard was a farmer in Independence, NJ. I've hit a brick wall. Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you
Matt, are you the person that I talked to about the Halls in Woolwich, Maine?
