Ms. Pollyanna Creekmore
She received her bachelors degree of Arts
Degree in History from UT in 1942. 1943
she worked in Lawson McGhee Librany
in Knoxville, retired 1970. earned Masters
Degree in Library Service from Columbia
University of N.Y. and became the Head of
the McClung Collection at Lawson McGhee.
In 1956 she also received advanced training
at the National Institute on Genealogical
Research in Washington D.C. She retired
a second time in 1987 as Universirty
Bibliographer and Assistant Professor
Emeritus from Sherrod Library at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. While
in Johnson City, she served two terms as
President of the Historical Society of Washington County, Virginia. even though she lived in
Washington County, TN.
