My North Western Georgia Grands, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins in the yard of the old log cabin homestead, built back when the area was still "Cherokee Georgia" and not yet a part of the State of Georgia...My Grand Parents are Flo and Judson Cavender standing on the far right in the back row of the photo which was taken as the "birthday boy" was approaching 100 years of age...he is seen sitting in the center of the Garden Bench -- Doctor Wilson Clements of Villanow, Georgia -- he was an Assistant Surgeon in the Confederate Medical Corps...his two daughters are sitting on either end of that Garden Bench, and, the young lady sitting next to him on the other side is a daughter of his brother Judson Claudius Clements, who was also a Confederate Veteran, who after the war won election to many local offices before being elected to the U.S. Congress four times, then being appointed to the Interstate Commerce Commission by the President of the United States and the next three Presidents continued to reappoint him and at his death he was serving as the Chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission...the other five brothers of Wilson and Judson also served in the Confederate Military...two more of them as Assistant Surgeons...
