David Ringer was born in Western NY, in the small town of Allegany,NY. Allegany is nestled between Olean and Salamanca NY. His parents were William M. Ringer and Sarah A. Haight, both from Geneva,Yates NY. In 1854/1855 William and Sarah moved to Allegany NY. They remained there til the time of their deaths. David was the middle child. This picture was taken I believe right before his marriage to Carrie Estelle Johnston in 1879.
