Thanks for your post. My mother's grandmother was a Quinlan. She came from Shronell, in County Tipperary, about 50 miles from Piltown, so I don't know that there would be a direct connection. Margaret (called Maggie) arrived in 1870 with her father, Anthony, and siblings Bridget, Josephine, and Anthony Jr. Two other siblings, Thomas and Mary, were already in Chicago, where the family settled. (I was also born there.)
The family lived on the west side, in the area that is now the U of I-Chicago campus. In 1880, Anthony Sr was living with his married daughter, Bridget Dunnicliffe and her family, at 107 Gurley (which became 1068 W Vernon Park Place after the 1909 re-numbering). Another daughter, Margaret (my great-GM), also lived with them.
Do you have any reason to suspect a connection?

P.S. I also have two different Chicago Sullivan families in my tree.

Here's a link to Anthony's profile in my tree on Ancestry.com (in case you're a subscriber): http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/975591/person/-1952172307
