What surnames are you interested in researching?: Far too many to name here, but to mention a few: Blaisdell, Treadwell, Kemp, Coles, McGonagle, Hounsell, d'Entremont, Bertrand, Edwards, Batchelder, and so so many more. I also work on friends lines, including Pero, Plaschka, Fredericks, Reinhardt and, again, many more..... also, I have a McGonigle (and ALL variants) Surname study. I wish to learn about any and all with any form of the name (including the McGun and Ma- variants and any offshoots of the original MacConghaill surname)

What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?: USA, England, Canada, Ireland (and some France, Czech/Bohemia, and Russia)

You are kidding me about Sarah Coles. That's funny! Sorry to say that I am using my great great grandmother's name on here as an alias. :) Become a friend of mine and I will reveal the real one. :) I'm one of those who really worries about identify theft or worse.

Ilo Fredricks was my paternal Grandmother, daughter of Lucy Ford. My great grandfather was Wenzel Plaschka who had sons of Tony, Louis, Edward ( my grandfather), Ilo and Edward Plaschka had 4 children: Nadine married to Jr. Elder, Lucille married William Robinson, Louis Plaschka ( my father) married Patricia McGuire, and Iris was married to a Brownrig. All the above lived in Kansas and some still are. Let me know how I could help.

At 8:50am on August 8, 2009, Sarah Coles said…: Thanks for the reply. I guess we are not of the same line but a John Cole supposedly came to this country in 1736 and settled in Kennebunport, Maine. This information has never been substantiated by the family as all the vital records of Kennebunport were lost in a fire. We are descended from a Seth Cole of Boston, MA. who married Fanny Munroe of the Munroe Clan of Lexington originally from Soctland. The children of that marriage changed the spelling of the last name from Cole to Coles. True about the spelling variations also which can be frustrating in your searches to find ancient ancestors.
