Hi Anja. Thank you for your messages I will email the whole certificate. It would be par for the course for Dorcas or Joseph to headstones it might make things easier to find out information and he couldn't do that . Even my G Grandfather wanted to make things hard lol he cleared out and left his wife with 9 young kids and she couldn't cope so the kids were all split up. and my G Grandfather died at 27 Dad being the oldest of 3 children was only 5 so the kids didn't even know them. His 2 sisters are still alive living in SA one will be 94 next month and the other is 91 they both have fantastic memories but only know what their mother told them about the family. If I could only find out when Joseph arrived in Australia I might get somewhere. I don't think he came directly to SA as haven't been able to find out anything there. Heather
Hi Anja. Thank you for your message again. I had never thought of recording where I got the information. It is a good idea. I must start doing that. Dorcas death certificate has other young children who died within a couple of days of each other. Is there any way of just scanning hers or do you want the lot. I will muck around and see what I can do . In QLD when you get a death certificate you only get the person you want on it If Gray doesn't come over on the weekend I will get your phone number and see what we can figure out. I have scanned thing before but can never figure out how to put them where I want them. I have to wait for the boys to come over. I am learning quite a few things. I get them to write down what to do and fiddle around till I get it. Once again thank you for being so helpful, Do you have an address or something where I can write to ask the same questions about her grave as you suggested doing about Josephs. I have written to Betty Flemming who is the secretary for the community trust but have had no reply back. Heather
Hi Anja, I'm not sure about the area you stated but anything is possible. It hasn't come up in my family line ...as yet anyway. Always worth asking though, isn't it. I have a friend called Madeline who has McIntosh family links there though.
Hi Anja. thank you for you message it was very helpful I would never have thought about doing that and asking those questions. I must see if I can find an address forf the Geelong cemetery and I will have a look at the website. I have only been doing this family tree since the beginning of the year so still have an awful lot to lean and not knowing too much about computers doesn't help also. I have been able to find out a lot more about the Pankhurst family then about 4 others who have been trying it sor years and had given up because like me they have hit one brick wall after the other. It is mainly this genology wise with such helpful like you that I have been able to find out what I have. Once again thank you for your help. Heather
Hi Anja. I just r3ead your message again . I never notice before you saying he is probably in an unmarked grave. That is par for the course with him . I thought I would be able to fine out a bit more information if he had a headstone. On his death certificate it doesn't state his wife's name even just that he was married. Heather
Hi Anja
Thank you for your message. Yes that is my GG Grandfather Joseph Pankhurst. I used to think he would have died in SA because that it where he got married but hadn't been able to find out anything about his death until Geneology wise picked up his death in Victoria I am pretty sure that is him seeing Doras died in Victoria. He seems to have spent a lot of time travelling between SA and Vic. Do you know if he has a tombstone or anything. I hope to visit SA about march next year and thought I would have a look at his grave also Dorcas if I can find out where they are. Joseph is a many of mystery lol on his wedding records and also his death certificfate it doesn't show any parents but thanks to his death certirficate I have found out where he came from in England. I have not been able to find out yet whe he came to Australia or how all I have been able to find out that he arrived before 1842 because he was married in Adelaide the first time but his wife died in 1845 and he married my GG grandmother Mawry Purdy in Adelaide in 1847 she died in SA about 30 years after Joseph. Have found out where and when she arrived. Thanks for all your help. Geneakogywise is such a wonderful site there are so many people willing to help. Heather

Hi Anja,
Welcome to the Frisian Group. Hope we can help you dig up your frisian roots. How far have you gone back - the list of names is great - have you done any research on them already ? What information are you exactly looking for?
