Hi Anne, I had no idea that your middle name was Louise, so I at first wondered who in the world Linda was talking about. But, voila! Hi. I feel a bit chagrined to be complaining about the heat here today, which wiped out both Vonnie and I when it reached 79. But by comparison to the usual 60s, it was awful feeling. Nowhere near your 90s and Linda's 100s. So, all is relative.
Linda said to add you as a friend here, and I have been trying to do it, but my skill level seems to be precluding the task. Can you add me? Or am I already added?
Say hi to Kermit. Seeing all those pictures from Palestine and then from Cleveland put me in the memory family mode of summers at Granny and Granddaddy Grays and of the houses in Palestine. I remember playing with Kermit, forts and such, in the back yard (steep and full of construction stuff, bricks and such) and getting in trouble for using bricks as whatever to throw. I'd get me in trouble, too, now.
I hope you are feeling better. And when I lived in Texas, long ago, I never was wiped out by the heat much, nor in Louisiana. Maybe it's an age thing. And they (Texans) are well prepared, with air conditioning and porches and trees and all the cooling amenities. So, not to worry much.
Rest well, stay cool, drink lots of liquid and juice with electrolytes (for me, certainly not Gatorade - but I do like pomegranate-cranberry juice). Vonnie says, get hydrated, water, lots of water. And enough salt, if you are out in the sun. Medical note for the night.
Love, Llew

I'm feeling a little better tonight -- it was 94 today out here. I'm really going to have a hard time my first year in Texas with all that humidity! I figure I'll just carry a fan around with me all the time! Going to bed now -- will write tomorrow.

I'm sorry you were not feeling well today. Are you any better tonight? I didn't see your message until I went to your GW page.

Our hot weather has finally gotten down into the 90s. Ken said we had 17 days of 100+ degree days in a row here. Llew sent me an email today that said they were dying and the temp got close to 80. I guess it's all relative.

We will have fourgrown sibling grandchildren from Oklahoma visit us Wed and Thurs night and one will stay over through Fri night. He (Jeff) and Ken will drive to Wichita and then go on from their to Oshkosh, WI for the flyin with Jeff's dad and stepmom. The dad is our oldest son Chuck who will have his 50th surprise birthday party on August 8th.

Thursday night Elizabeth and Colton wil come for an overnight visit after Colton's gymnastic practice in Denton. It's a good thing we have to sofa beds in the living room for more company.

James' wife Brandi is expecting their 2nd child July 28th. Kristen and I will see if they want us to come up to keep house for a few days to help the new mom and dad and Anna.

Hope you feel better soon. Have you been to the doctor about this before? Love, Linda

I'm home sick today -- I think it's a panic attack (heart racing, hard to breathe, dizzy). I get them every once in awhile; just need to take it easy and I have plenty of sick days. Otherwise, we're fine. I liked the cemetary pictures. When we used to live in Camp Hill, PA, during the winter time, my Mom and I used to walk through the local cemetary and look at the different headstones. It was very peaceful with all the snow undisturbed on the ground. Well, I'm going to go lie down for a bit. I hate this hot weather we're having.

Hi! Anne,
I get email messages when someone I am friends with goes on GenealogyWise.com. I haven't done much with this website yet, but do belong to several groups that I was also interested in on Facebook. I find that this webstite cuts down on the clutter of Facebook when I want to ask questions or see what others are doing in genealogy.

How are you and Kermit? Have you gotten some of the pictures I took on my trip to east Texas? I know that the Palestine church windows were when Kermit was only 2-4 years old but I thought they were very nice looking, better than the average church windows.

I heard some nice comments about Lusky and Alice Gray from the man who grew up in his parents' home across the street from the Grays. Also, our second cousin Maurice told me some great stories about Lusky and Alice that he saw for himself or heard from his parents. I'll share those as soon as I can.

I am working on the cemetery photos I made at Evergreen Cemetery where our GGG-Grandmother Nancy Ellisor is buried. I didn't know anything about her until Maurice told me about her.

Take care, Linda
