What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
USA, England, Wales, France, Eastern Prussia, Ancient Hebrew, Switzerland
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Advanced Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
Well, specialties, hmmm....well, I've sort of a been a "Pro Bono" Fisherman, of sorts, out here on the Internet Ocean since I first started doing my research. When I began my research about 25 years ago, I was so very fortunate to have a plethora of people that helped me, so very kindly, along the way as I struggled to tear apart some very obscured genealogy so I, continually, work to 'Pay It Forward.'
Do you have a genealogy website or blog or belong to a Genealogy Society?
I saw some posts on the Myrick Rootsweb boards from several years back concerning the connection between the Myrick family and the Carrolls. I've been trying to place my ancestor John Carroll in relation to the rest of the Carroll family. I noticed that a Moses Myrick is a legatee of John Carroll's 1760 will, probated in Northampton County, NC. Are you familiar with this John Carroll's will? If so I would love to hear your thoughts on the connection.
Hi! :) Saw your post on rootsweb about your ancestry leading back to Michael McCarty of Cork Co. Ireland. I am researching a line that believes itself to be descended from this Michael McCarty. I am related to a William Thompson McCarty born in 1821. I have not found their evidence/reason for believing they descend from Michael McCarty. You may be related to this line, so I wanted to ask you, where your family got the information/proof that your ancestor was Michael McCarty of County Cork, Ireland. It would be very helpful to my search and I would appreciate it very much. Thank you, Mrs. A.F. Fitch
