There is evidence of an old lost and forgotten cemetery on Hwy 90, across from the rail road tracks. All that is left (that I have seen) is the typical wrought iron fence running along Hwy 90. I don't recall it being close to the river but I wasn't paying attention back then.
I would sure like to go with you if you decide to trek out to the are she remembers and look for signs of it. I have a friend with a GPS and he'd enjoy going as well, I am sure. Probably the time to go would be late Sept or Oct when the weather is cooler.
Sorry for the quick "Welcome". I have had company, they just left. We watched a movie, "Open Range" with Kevin Costner. What should have taken 2 hrs took almost 5, having to stop to take care of the grandbabies, etc.
