I'm currently researching my fathers side of the family only. Although any new research I come across regarding my mothers side and husbands side of the family I will post.
My fathers side of the family has really been neglected in the research department mostly because they have been so hard to research. They weren't the type of people to make roots in any one place for too long and horrible record keepers.
One of my goals is finding the burial place of my great-great- grandfather Elmos Nicholas Ross who served in the Civil War.
There has been several accounts of where he was buried but I have turned up no solid record. I hope one day to see a stone on his grave honored for his service.
