Hi Catherine, Here is the entry on Fitchburg and the relevant cemetery:

If you can confirm that the person(s) you are looking for are located there and have a marker, I will do my best to make it out there and try to locate the grave(s).
Hi Catherine, Unfortunately Fitchburg is far enough away that I'd only be able to go there with a friend who has a car. I have a book on MA cemeteries (published by the New England Historical and Genealogical Society) so I will start by looking it up today to see what the book says about it.
The line I traced started w/ Pierre Laverdure m Priscilla Melanson in England. Pierre Jr. m. Marie D'Entremont. One son, Jean m. a Dugas.
Their son, Alexander m. Osite Hebert (2nd m.) Ended up in Mass. from
the Explusion. Alexander died and Osite went to Louisiana with some of
their youngest children which included a Joseph. My husband's family
comes from this Joseph. I don't know if this includes your line.
Two of Pierre Sr. sons, remained in Nova Scotia and I believe had
children named Joseph also.
Catherine, I have researched Melanson/Melancon
for about 15 years and written a book on this family starting in 1600 until the present. The one I have in Mass. is Alexander who came from Nova Scotia. If you would like to contact me, leave a message for me Dorothy M.

One more comment for you. After trying a few different ways to look it up, I finally managed to locate St. Joseph's on FindAGrave. Here is its main page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=91584&CScn=st+joseph&CScntry=4&CSst=21&
Let me know if I can be of further help.
