I've noticed you are interested in the name Callahan. If you think there is a possible connection, our Callahan family is from County Sligo, Ireland, near the village of Gurteen. They came to U.S. in 1863. Family dropped the "g" from the name at that time. Settled in southeastern Dakota Territory which later became South Dakota.
