Elizabeth, You don't give any time frame in your message so it is hard to make any judgement call on our possible connections. But anything is possible in this world. I will give you a short synopsis on my line, then you can check the possibilites.

William Wyley born 17 Jun 1815 in Armagh, Ireland married
Mary Jane Dolley Born 11 Feb 1818 in Ogedensburg, N.Y.

They had 7 children, all born in Canada.
Samuel Wyley born 12 Oct 1843 Canada West
Margaret Ann Wyley born 29 Jun 1845 Canada West
George Wyley born 12 Nov 1847 Canada West
Alexander Wyley born 23 Feb 1849 Canada West
Elizabeth Wyley born 02 Jun 1852 Canada West
John A. Wyley born 25 Aug 1854 Canada West
Albert Granklin Wyley born 19 Dec 1856 NWT

Since we find the Wyley's in Iowa in the 1850's when Margaret Ann married Daniel William Hannegan, it is figured that they all must have left Canada West (Ontario) sometime after 1852 and before 1856 when there is records that show that they are in New Oregon, Howard County, Iowa.

William fought in the Civil War and died of dysentry in a military hospital in St. Loius in 1864. The 1870 US census shows MaryJane Wyley living with her youngest son Albert in New Oregon, Howard, Iowa. This is just a brief on where our records start.
