Mary Jane Edge, born Sept 1855, married to Nathan DAVIS, is the direct ancestor I search. Mary Jane was daughter of Asa Henry and Rosaline (Bell) EDGE. Her son, John Isaac DAVIS, is the great-great grandfather of my children.

Hi Ethel,

Thanks for asking about Edge Connections. I don't have a James Harvey Edge in my database, but that doesn't mean there isn't a connection. I have Asa Henry Edge, born about 1828 South Carolina. Asa Henry was a son of Asaph Edge, born about 1782 South Carolina. Asaph died between 1850-1860 in Itawamba County, Mississippi.

Asa Henry EDGE disappeared sometime near the end of the Civil War, but his wife or widow, Rosaline W. (Bell) EDGE, did move to Prairie County, Arkansas with her children. The sons were: Cornelius Warren Edge, Samuel B. Edge and Albert Henry Edge all born MS between 1854 and 1864. Cornelius stayed in Arkansas. Samuel moved to Georgia and Albert Henry Edge moved his family to Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi.
