My Celia "Selah" Whitehead's father was Thomas Whitehead, Sr., b: 1770 in Pittsboro, Chatham Co NC, and d: Apr, 1860 in Elizabethton, Carter Co TN. I made a mistake when I said James on my earlier email. This Thomas had children: 1. Sarah 2. John 3. Charity 4. Rachel 5. Larkin 6. Thomas Andrew 7, Hela 8,James R. 9. Celia "Selah" married Houston Gourley.

I have seen your Eva's name somewhere. So many names..... My Thomas may have been married to a Sarah Kirk (not sure of the name).

I am trying to validate my Whitehead for sure, and my Gourley's. Are any of your Whitehead's in the family that I mentioned above. :) Thanks, Ann

Thank you for your reply, and adding me as a friend. There is also a Robert Hyder who lives in Elizabethton, who is a member of Genealogy Wise.

My GGmother was Sela Whitehead, and her father was James Whitehead. There are many other Whitehead members of this family, such as Charity Whitehead who married Henry Gourley.
