Hi Grant,
My Winterburn family were originally from Middlesex and later moved to Norfolk.
I know that Richard Winterburn married Sarah Roberts in 1794 in St. Martin in the Fields and had a son Richard born 1808 in Holborn. I have reason to believe that there was a daughter, Anna, but I have no proof.
Richard married Harriet Purse in 1828 in St. Giles in the Fields and had a son William born 1829. As far as I know he was an only child but, in 1841, Richard was in the coastguards in Kent and was in between stations and I have a problem in that the census for that area seems to be missing.
I have never found any other person that seems to be related from those years, only later, so if they were only children there doesn't seem to be any more family to find.
As I live in Spain I can only rely on the internet for help so I am a bit restricted.
It doesn't seem like we have the same family but if you ever come across any information in your travels perhaps you will think of me and vice versa.
Regards
Carolyn
