I am working on my marketing plan for gsgenealogy and next month the business plan is due. I took a SBDC course in developing a Business Plan but there were no sample plans for Genealogy research available from the resources they provided. The template they provided was a useful tool to begin the marketing plan.

I am not sure if I am related but Harvard University has an extensive collection on the family of Artemus Ward. 1724-1933.
Here is the Link: http://vc.lib.harvard.edu/vc/deliver/home?_collection=ward
You may want to print the "Ward family. Artemas Ward House and Ward family papers digital collection: A finding Aid" by Harvard College Library and it will give you the scope of this massive…

Anyway, thanks for all the info. I'll be curious to see if Coon is a variation of Kuehn. So far I only find the original Kuehn spelling and I'm finding that in Germany. Here in Minnesota, my Great-great Grandmother and Grandfather seem to be the ones who changed it to Keehn.
Ahh the joys of research!!! :)
From your profile I see you have Kramer. My 4th great grandmother was Catherine Kraemer and she lived in York Co PA with her husband Philip Wolford. Some of their descendants from Centre and Clinton Co PA ended up in Knox and Richland Cos. in Ohio.
You also listed Darling. The Vermont Historical Society has a 44 volume handwritten history of the Darling family. It is all cross indexed. I believe the Mormons may have copied it. If they haven't, they should. I also have some Darling tombstone pictures from the Woodstock area of Vermont.
Jim Avery, Dover PA
I have Clayton Dick Herbert's obit. It's where I got what little info on him I have as far as the railroad goes. Just would love to know when he lost his leg and where. Oddly, the family didn't talk about so many things. Frustrating for we geneaologists! ;)
Anyway, on the Kuehns ... my line came from Germany in about 1882, starting with William C F Kuehn/Keehn and his wife Wilhemine (Minnie) Petruck. Their first four children; August, Ernstina, William C and Tillie were all born in Germany. The next two; Ernest and Frank were born in Wisconsin around Watertown. There were two other children but I haven't identified them yet. That's as far back as I have confirmed information so far. No signs that any of them were in New York or Chicago.
We do have a mystery or two with the Kuehns ...We have an Arthur Ruger born in 1888 in Wisconsin .. I think! His parents are the mystery. On his death certificate they're listed as Augusta Keehn and Luey Luning of Wisconsin. We assume he was born out of wedlock but I don't have an Augusta Keehn in our list. I think he was brought up by William C F so I'm wondering if Augusta was WIlliam's daughter? And one of the chidren I haven't confirmed? Ahh, the joys of mysteries! :)
Thanks for the good words. You might mention my other website www.identifinders.com where you can read about Mr. Smithers-Gray as well as many of the other cases I'm working on. I am sure you will be fascinated.
