Ian, we're working on branches of the same line. My is as follows:
LeAnn Weller
Gordon W. Weller (1910-1991)
Lillie May Jay Weller (1876-1941)
George Rufus Jay (1851-1915)
Judson Jay (1821-1887) born Gee in Tompkins Co. NY
changed his name to Jay in Illinois
Joshua Gee (1770-1865) moved to Tompkins Co. from Putnam/Dutchess area
William Gee (1740-1797)
William Gee (1704-1772)
Joseph Gee (1676-1716)
John Gee (1635-1702)
I'm working on the children of Joshua and I'm trying to find more info on John Gee 1635-1702. Do you have any interest in working on John?
Are you aware of the Gee DNA study? It's trying determine relationships between various groups (New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, several locations in England).
Do you have Robert Gee's article on the New York Gees?
One of the daughters of Joshua Gee married a Woolley and spend about 10 years in Huron Co. Ohio. I believe the my Joshua died and is buried there. I may never find written evidence, but have circumstancial evidence.
Stay in touch. If I find anything about "old NY Gees" I'll share.
My line from David & Catherine (?) Beegle goes like this:
Thomas Beagle & Annie Harrow
Catherine Beagle & Daniel Farnsworth
Amirah Farnsworth & Alta Coyle
Myra Farnsworth & Herman D. Johnson
Roberta Johnson & William Noland
