My connection is Susannah Lamphier who married Daniel Van Valin (alternate spellings) in 1802 in Coxsackie, Greene County, NY. It seems that her parents are Henry Lanfere (1752-1834) and wife Priscilla.
Susannah is my 6th great-grandmother, but I'm wondering if there are any DNA cousins who might prove the connection. I also have two drastically different dates of birth for her; one from the Lamphier Research aid and RI records (b. 1790) and one from family records (b. 1774). The first has her marrying at barely 12. The second has her giving birth to her last child at age 59. I'm wondering if either is correct.
I have just found him on a Deed in St Joseph County MI, he bought land there in 1844, sold it again in 1848, there was about 2 years when no one could find him, according to the deed he was in Ashtabula Ohio, in 1844. I had not heard those parents as possiblities,, thanks for the lead,,deb
