Hi Janelle. I lost track of you for quite awhile. My computer crashed and I couldn't remember your full name. Finally found you in some paper work I had misplaced. Are you on Facebook?
Hi, Gloria. I did have relatives in Wrightstown back in the second half of the nineteenth century, but their surnames were Dickinson and Kendall, not Vandervoort. Clarence may well be a distant relative--a large number of the Vandervoorts/Vandervorts in America are--but I don't have him in my tree. As to my English relatives, they were here in northern Pennsylvania at the time of the Revolution. With the activity going on in other of my lines, I haven't gotten further back than English Center, Lycoming, Pennsylvania.
Hello Janelle, do you have any relatives in Wrightstown, WI in Brown Co. My cousin Gladys Burt married Clarence Vandervoort in Wrightstown, she continued to live there after he was killed in France in WWII. His parents lived there also. He is buried in National Cemetery in IN. I see you are also researching English...my husband's gggrandmother is Margaret English from Co. Cork, Ireland married to Patrick Farrell. The left Ireland in 1847 for Canada.
Regards, Gloria
