I am researching James Thompson who was a signer of the Cumberland Compact and who married Elizabeth Stump. Their daughter, Alice Thompson who was family was killed by (Creek Indians) outside Nashville, 25 February 1792. Alice later married Edward/Edmund Collinsworth becoming his second wife. Edmund & Alice did not have a son named Moses. Possibly Edmunds son by his first wife (Elizabeth [unknown]) Edmond B Colllinsworth who married Elizabeth Shephard might possibly have had a son named Moses, or Thomas by his first wife, but Edward/Edmund Collinsworth's last Will & Testament did not mention a son named Moses. Thank You for writing. I would be happy to help if I can. Sincerely, Jim Collinsworth
Jim Collinsworth, what Thompson family are you researching? We may be connected to the same line as my g grandfather was a Collinsworth and my g grandmother was a Thompson from Coweta County Ga.
