John Harrison's Page

John, I just spent some time on the DNA site. I am a female descendant of Line 50. Unfortunately, the last direct male of that line, my Uncle, died in 1997. However, he died of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), so there may be some interest in that fact by your members. He had only girls so thus ended the line.

If you want to make your genealogy more complete in this line, here is some information. Edmund Harrison, b. 1804 VA, m. Ann Malone had three sons, George Monre, James M. and Franklin Pearce/Pierce Harrison. Somewhere along the way they changed the baby Edmund's (b. 1848) name to James Martin (Mart). We have Edmund's will (where he tells the brothers not to squabble) and identifies them by name.

My line is Franklin Pearce/Pierce (b. 1852). He married Roxie Wright
They had only one son who survived with male issue, Roy Clyde (R.C.) b. 1887
R.C. was my grandfather's father, Franklin George (b. 1908). As far as I know, of his surviving sons, only my grandfather had male issue, my uncle Franklin Merrill (b. 1933).

I am going to call my mom today and see if she can remember any male cousins from the Harrison line.
