Hello Joy, nice to meet another member of the family.
Yeah, I still haven't been able to fathom out why Mary was living with a John Harris rather than James. It may have been that he was known as John rather than James or as Dorothy said it could have been a relative after James had died perhaps. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to go any further back yet as there were 3 James Harris' baptised in Donhead St Mary around the same time although I believe one died young and I can't yet proves James' parentage.
I descend down from James and Mary's son John b 1805 who married Hannah Blandford. John and Hannah moved from Donhead St Mary after their marriage to Chicklade and then on to Codford St Mary where they both lived until their deaths.
Their son Samuel moved to Upton Noble and married Jane James and then moved to Lambeth in London a couple of years after my 3x greatgrandmothers birth. Samuel and Jane lived and died in Lambeth and their children appear to have mostly moved to East Ham.
