Thanks for the information. It has been some time, but Ida called me and gave me the basic information. Here are the Notes that I have on your Dad:
Donald and Mildred were raised by their father follow his divorce from Christina.
Donald enlisted in the U.S. Army on 30 December 1942 and was discharged 21 January 1946. He attained the rank of Sergeant.
He worked for the (MKD) Railway for over 27 Years. Prior to retirement, he was Supervisor of Locomotives and Cars. Following retirement, he continued providing consultant services to the railway. It was here that he met his tragic death. He was working in Watonga, Oklahoma developing a new track site. He was working late to try and complete the job but at 2:48 AM on the morning of 18 May 1985, Donald was hit by a passing train and was killed.
He is buried at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Grayson County, Texas
!OCCUPATION: Railroad (Engineer and Supervisor)
!BIRTH: U.S. Census, 1930 United States Federal Census, Washington, Snohomish, Everett, District 35
!CENSUS: U.S. Census, 1930 United States Federal Census, Washington, Snohomish, Everett, District 35
!MILITARY: U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946

Do you happen to have the Death Certificate and if so, can you scan a copy to me?
I finished the book. The Color version is about $51.00 and the B&W version is about $21.00 both plus shipping from lulu.com. I receive nothing from this effort that has taken me several years. I am trying to send annual updates. Please contact me direct at jkk358@gmail.com or jkk358@aol.co. (I am shifting away from aol.)
