I think we may be distant cousins. I am also a Kruczig, but my great-grandfather changed it to Krutzig when him immigrated to the USA in 1912. My great grandfather was named Vasile Kruczig, son of Todor Kruczig and was born in Semlac, Romania in 1882. He had a number of brothers and sisters but I don't know all their names. I do know he had an older brother Mihaly, another named Josef and one named Gyorgy. They all remained in Semlac. He also had a brother Peter who immigrated to the US permanently. I know that his brother Gyorgy had a daughter named Sophia Kruczig who was born in Semlac in 1908.
Kruczig seems to be a very unusual last name. Any chance you are related to the same Kruczig's from Semlac?
