Thank you for the friend invite. I don't have a blood connection to the Updegraffs but they married into a connecting line in the 1700's. These Updegraffs are related, by marriage, I believe, to Samuel Boyd and lived in Hagerstown, MD. I need to check my records for exact information. A blood relation, Catharine Adams Boyd married Samuel Adams and bequeathed money to her niece, one of the Updegraffs. I also found a Baltimore Album Quilt at a quilt museum that had been given to this niece bearing inscriptions from her relatives, including Catherine and Samuel.
