Out of curiosity, what's your connection to the Hirst family? Its on my mom's side and I can only seem to trace it back to Ohio, not England, which why I ask.
My MOORHOUSEs are Pudsey/Calverley area - which is not a million miles from Bradford! ;) I'd love to get my BATTYs further back but I am well and truly stuck (I think his earliest ancestor I can trace may have been illegitimate so that makes it tricky!) They did like to wander so anything is possible!
HI Linda, unfortunately my husband's BATTYs are from the south of England, as far as I've been able to trace. My MOORHOUSEs are from Yorkshire, most definitely!
Hi Linda - yes Jan is on the same line as me, though I haven't heard from her in a long time either. There don't seem to be too many other Livermore researchers out there unfortunately!
Best wishes,
Kelley
Hi Linda
Thanks that was very thoughtful of you! It did actually work too! I have seen these names & details before - none of them positively mine unfortunately! My lot start with a Frances (Fanny) bap 1801 in Honiton to George & Frances. She went on to marry John Hiscox in Honiton in 1821. I have not been able to trace her parents, but they did have another daughter Sarah bap 1799, also in Honiton. Pretty slim pickings! I suspect our George may have been a brother to the James b c 1775 Ottery, but no evidence yet.
Thanks so much for your interest!
Best wishes,
Kelley

Hi Linda, I have some photos in an old family album of a Miss Hirst, Janie Hirst and Clara Hirst. Are they of any interest to you?
