This is very interesting! I have refreshed our contacts with Orville and Edmund at their farm near Gibbon. They are still at good health, but Edmund cannot hear very well on the phone, so Orville and Laurie (Orville's daughter) keep asking him for the old stuff! They told me about you and I have tried to call you too.

I am JOHN David Lennart born 1943, son of Karl Johan SAMUEL born 1910 in Skarstad as son of Karl ANTON born 1871 in Long as son of Lars, who was Jonas' elder brother. Lars was born in Long 1833

My father and mother met in Evanston, Illinois. They married there 1933 and returned to Sweden in 1934. They got foru sons; I am the youngest. My mother and father had a minor farm as tenants in Skarstad to 1938, when they moved to Hjortsberga in Småland where they lived the rest of their lives. My father died in 1999 and my mother in 2000. I have been living in Denmark since 1972, when I married a Danish girl. We have two sons and a daughter.

I wish I could help you out but none of the names you mention sound familiar. :-( My great great grandfather was Per Svensson, and he was from Homb (two dots over the o) originally, and later lived in New Asled, before emigrating to Minnesota. Best wishes and good luck! :-) Janet
