I have gathered together the information I found regarding Richard's ancestry and created a website that contains proof of Richard's ancestry. The web address is (http://hainesfamilyofnewjersey.myfreesites.net/)

On the 24th of Feb last you posted a reply to a fellow Haines enthusiast in which you stated that "John Haines and Margaret Cockayne lived in Huntspill, Somerset, and relocated to Boxgrove after a flood in 1607 that hit the Bristol Channel. Huntspill was destroyed"
I live in Huntspill and am interested in it's history - and, consequently, would be fascinated to learn from what source that statement derived. I wonder how Margaret met John - and how did John, if he was born in Boxgrove, come to be living here in Huntspill, some 150 miles away, at the time of the flood?
(Incidentally, 28 people from this village perished in that disaster).
Any relevant information you could provide would be most welcome.
Best wishes =..
