I noticed that you live in Upton. I live in nearby Blackstone.
Mary (Strang) Silliker was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Galpin) Strang of Port Chester, NY. Daniel Strang was a son of Daniel and Phebe (Purdy) Strang of Rye, NY. Elizabeth (Galpin) Strang was a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Appleby) Galpin of Greenwich, CT. The Strangs were French Huguenots who came to New Rochelle, NY from Gien, Orleans, France.
I have more information on the ancestry of Mary (Strang) Silliker if you are interested. She was of English and French Huguenot ancestry. Her husband, Joseph Silliker was of German, Dutch, French Huguenot and English ancestry.
