Hi...
Glad to you came across me. I haven't come in contact with any O'Gwins outside my own line.
unknown O'Gwin b. NCd.1864 TN
John L. O'Gwin b.1811 KY d.1879 TN?
William C. O'Gwin b.1815 TN d.between 1870-1880 KY
I descend from William and I've not got hard proof that John is his brother, but information I have points to that. John married Mary True and William married Elizabeth True who were sisters.
Also I came across information in Goodspeed:
William and Elizabeth had four children:
John b.1839
Jesse b.1845
Susan b.1847 Married John Alexander
Olive b.1850 Marriied Frances Copeland
All were born in Robertson Co. TN
This family moved to Graves Co. KY abt 1856. Jesse moved his family bet. 1870-1880 To Ellis Co. TX and then on to Garvin Co. OK both are buried there .
I believe John died in Robertson Co, the sisters are both buried in KY as I also believe William and Elizabeth are, although I've been unsuccesssful in locating them.
Hopefully you make some kind of connection.
Kathy
